Mexican state legislator Osbaldo Esquivel Lucatero was killed in a machete attack in Morelia, the capital of the western Mexican state of Michoacan on Wednesday (September 11), according to officials. Esquivel Lucatero, a member of the leftist Party of the Democratic Revolution, or PRD, was killed at around 3:20 p.m. under an overpass on the Morelia-Patzcuaro highway while being interviewed by a journalist. - Reuters
