Subtropical Storm Alberto is reportedly expected to bring heavy rains and winds to the southern coastal states of Florida, Alabama and Mississippi during the Memorial Day Weekend. Up to 15 inches of rain has been forecasted as well as tidal surges and damaging winds. Alberto, the first named Atlantic storm of 2018, spun up days before the formal start of the 2018 hurricane season. It is expected to intensify and bring wind speeds up to 65 miles per hour to the Gulf Coast when it approaches the U.S. on Monday.
