At least three police officers were injured in a incident, where a 27-year-old man drove towards them before trying to escape on Henry Hudson Parkway in the early hours of Saturday, May 26.

Video from Instagram user @wc.visuals shows police in a confrontation with the man, when he revs the engine, collides with a police car and forces officers and bystanders to jump out of his path. The New York Post reported George Lopez then drove against traffic on the Henry Hudson Parkway, before crashing with another vehicle in the Bronx.

Lopez was taken to an area hospital for treatment and was charged with “reckless endangerment, leaving the scene of a crime, reckless driving, driving while impaired by drugs and driving without a license,” the New York Daily News quoted police. Credit: wc.visuals via Storyful
