President Trump on Friday again tweeted about the report of an FBI informant.
President Trump on Friday continued to tweet about reports of an FBI informant who interacted with some Trump campaign advisers.
"The Democrats are now alluding to the the concept that having an Informant placed in an opposing party's campaign is different than having a Spy, as illegal as that may be. But what about an 'Informant' who is paid a fortune and who 'sets up' way earlier than the Russian Hoax?" Trump wrote on Twitter.
In another tweet, Trump wrote, "Can anyone even imagine having Spies placed in a competing campaign, by the people and party in absolute power, for the sole purpose of political advantage and gain? And to think that the party in question, even with the expenditure of far more money, LOST!"
These are among the many tweets the president has posted on the matter in the recent past.
A New York Times piece last week rebutted Trump's claim of politically motivated spying, stating, "F.B.I. agents sent an informant to talk to two campaign advisers only after they received evidence that the pair had suspicious contacts linked to Russia during the campaign."
