A monkey in India follows an unusual method to beat the scorching heat: It walks into its local pool, but only after the crowds have died down.
The overparticular monkey regularly goes for a dip at Chatrapati Shahu Maharaj swimming pool in Pune, in the western Indian state of Maharashtra.
Video shows the monkey swimming and enjoying every moment of it.
It even grabs a float and goes for a "surf" and, after its dip, sits contentedly drying its fur at the side of the pool.
Others in the pool, unperturbed by the simian swimmer, carry on regardless.
One pool regular, 32-year-old Niranjan Poddar, said: “The monkey usually comes to swim when the crowd is thin. No one minds it as it keeps to its own.”
“It was spotted last year also,” he added.
