US Vice President Mike Pence is promising retaliation against Venezuela after President Nicolas Mauro expelled two diplomats. Pence tweeted "This provocation will be met with a swift response" but didn't give more details on any proposed action. On Tuesday Maduro accused the US Charge d'Affaires, Todd Robinson, of being involved in a "military conspiracy", and ordering him and another senior diplomat to leave the country by Thursday.
