Space X launched two satellites on May 22 on a Falcon 9 rocket as part of the Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment Follow-On (GRACE-FO), a collaboration between NASA and the German Research Centre for Geosciences to monitor climate changes.

According to a report from Space.com, GRACE-FO tracks the movement of water and ice on and beneath the Earth’s surface, as well as changes in the planet’s mass and gravity field.
