Heavy Rain Triggers Flooding in Mill Spring

A state of emergency was declared in Polk County, North Carolina, after heavy rains caused flooding and mudslides across the county on Friday, May 18.

According to a local news report, one woman died after she was swept away by a mudslide near her home.

This videos shows severe flooding at a resident’s backyard near Silver Creek Road in Mill Spring during the heavy rain.
