A new documentary about the life of Whitney Houston, which premiered in Cannes, claims that the singer was sexually abused as a child by her cousin, soul musician Dee Dee Warwick. Oscar-winning Scottish director Kevin Macdonald, who made the film with the family's support, says the allegation may help to shine a new light on "the origins of (the singer's) unhappiness."
