Good afternoon. Rain, thunder and lightning... another round of lousy weather is on the cards for Seoul and the surrounding regions this Thursday.

Seoul has already seen more than half the precipitation we usually see in May. In fact, a heavy rain advisory was issued for Seoul and parts of Gangwon-do and Gyeonggi-do provinces, with showers likely to continue into Friday.

On and off downpours will sweep the northern regions, and they could come with thunder and lightning, so have your waterproof rainwear and umbrellas ready before heading out. The further south you are, the less rain you'll see.

Heat and high humidity will linger today, Seoul gets up to 25 degrees Celsius. Gyeongju, Jeju and Daejeon will have highs a few notches higher at 30 degrees.

With that, let's take a look at the international weather for viewers around the world.

Most of the northern regions in South Korea will have a rainy day along with scattered thunderstorms, North Korea will also have another day of showers and thunderstorms.

The warm and sunny weather in Manila will turn into rain along with the rumble of thunder on Thursday.

Sydney and Perth will be under plenty of sunshine with highs of 20 and 26 degrees.
The two cities will enjoy sunny skies for the time being.

The northeast United States is being hit with spring storms, killing at least five.

As for South America, those in Buenos Aires will have showers into Friday, but the sun will be back in time for the weekend.

Taking you to Europe,... London will have warmer conditions starting this weekend, but beware of wide temperature differences.

Lastly to Africa, a heat wave in Egypt will intensify starting on Thursday... with temperatures expected to rise by between 4 and 7 degrees.

That's the weather update for now.
