A wildlife cameraman from South Africa had a delightful encounter recently with a rare samango monkey.
The filmer and his group were on a trip to a remote part of the Afromontane rainforest in Magoebaskloof, South Africa in April when they came across the shy but curious primate.
"While the rest of the troop quickly moved on when they spotted us, one curious individual remained behind," the filmer said.
"This monkey was clearly very amused by our presence...It was a great experience to find these amazing and rare apes in their true natural environment that is quickly disappearing," he added.
