A whale watching tour in Monterey Bay, California on Monday encountered a pod of orcas feasting on the body of a grey whale.
A remarkable video showed the pod of at least nine killer whales surrounding the carcass.
Orcas, or killer whales, have a varied diet which includes fish, birds and other mammals.
