Temperatures throughout southeastern Australia plummeted on Friday, May 11, leading to unseasonable snowfall in parts of central western New South Wales.

In this video, snow can be seen falling outside a home in Orange, NSW. The uploader, Jayne West, described it as a “winter wonderland.”

Daily Telegraph reported that Oberon and Bathurst saw similar conditions, with temperatures dropping to a low of 3 degrees Celsius in Oberon on Friday.

The cold front is said to be a result of a complex low pressure system over the southwestern Tasman Sea that has directed vigorous winds across southeastern Australia. Credit: Jayne West via Storyful
