Warm with increasing clouds _ 051118

Good afternoon. Unlike the clear blue skies we had yesterday, things are looking a little different for us with cloudy skies over Korea today.

Despite more clouds, we'll still have high to very high UV rays, especially in the east, so wear plenty of sunblock.

The breezy morning is turning mild fast, Seoul and Busan will get up to 21 and 20 degrees Celsius. Gyeongju will get up to 26 degrees.

Another rainy weekend is in store. It will rain all day Saturday but should let up by dawn Sunday, and next week will start to feel more like early summer.

With that, let's take a look at the international weather for viewers around the world.

South Korea will have partly sunny skies, while North Korea will have a mix of sun and rain on Friday.

Over in New Delhi, the steamy heat will continue and rain on Sunday won't help ease the heatwave.

Breezy autumn weather is in full swing in Wellington, which will see frequent showers for another week or so.

Sweltering heat will scorch the southern US into early next week, Washington D.C. should see the hottest temperatures of the season on Saturday.

As for South America, Brazil's two major cities and Santiago in Chile will be under plenty of sunshine.

Taking you to Europe,... most cities will be under sunshine with highs in the upper teens to mid twenties.

The warm Indian Ocean is boosting East Africa's rain in a wet season that has already left more than 130 people dead. Western Kenya has been particularly badly hit by landslides and floods during this season of the "long rains".

That's the weather update for now.
