The standstill at the National Assembly continues.
Despite a meeting Monday,... rival parties failed to narrow their differences, leading to the conservative opposition to continue their boycott of parliament.
With that, lawmakers will likely leave the April session, which ends tomorrow,... with nothing to show for it -- as they have been bickering over disputed bills and an opinion rigging scandal involving a ruling party lawmaker.
National Assembly Speaker Chung Sye-kyun said that in May, that parties must to work to improve people's livelihoods and tackle other pending issues... such as ratifying the Panmunjom Agreement reached at the inter-Korean summit -- so that it can be enforced under a legal framework.
Floor leaders of the major parties are expected to meet again tomorrow in an attempt to get the parliament back to normal.
