Overflows from Kilauea’s summit lava lake at the Hawaii volcano covered a large part of the floor of Halema‘uma‘u on Thursday, April 26, according to the US Geological Survey.

A video posted by the USGS shows the north and east sides of Halema‘uma‘u crater, where a large overflow was active on the north side of the lava lake, sending a cascade of lava down the elevated lake rim, the agency said.
