A Delta Air Lines plane made an emergency landing on Wednesday (April 18) according to media reports, after one of its engines caught fire and thick smoke was seen billowing out.

Social media video from a passenger inside the Airbus A333 plane showed smoke coming out of the engine area and a fire truck spraying fire retardant on the plane. A different video showed the engine on fire, while the plane was sitting on the tarmac at the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.

U.S. media reported that Delta flight 30 was scheduled to fly from Atlanta to London and made the emergency landing shortly after takeoff. The airline said in a statement that the flight landed without incident and customers were eventually put on a different aircraft for their journey.

The incident came one day after an engine explosion on a Southwest Airlines flight which killed one person who was partially pulled out of a damaged window.
