Thousands of people on Tuesday, April 24, demanded recognition of the 1915-1917 Armenian genocide with two marches through Los Angeles. The march commemorated the 103rd anniversary of the genocide, which Turkey does not acknowledge.

Many of those who marched were waving flags, including in Little Armenia, according to a news report. A second march was held to the Turkish consulate. More than 200,000 people of Armenian descent live in Los Angeles County.
