Former FBI Director James Comey recently said he’s “the breakup” President Trump “can’t get over.”
Former FBI Director James Comey recently opened up about his relationship with President Trump. Comey said during a Tuesday appearance on CBS News' 'The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,' "He's tweeted at me probably 50 times." "I've been gone for a year, I'm like the breakup he can't get over. He wakes up in the morning...I'm out there living my best life, he wakes up in the morning and tweets at me," Comey continued. Trump has often tweeted about Comey, but the pace seems to have picked up since the recent release of Comey's book, 'A Higher Loyalty: Truth, Lies, and Leadership.' The morning after the former FBI director's interview with Colbert, the president tweeted, "Slippery James Comey, the worst FBI Director in history, was not fired because of the phony Russia investigation where, by the way, there was NO COLLUSION (except by the Dems)!" "Comey drafted the Crooked Hillary exoneration long before he talked to her (lied in Congress to Senator G), then based his decisions on her poll numbers. Disgruntled, he, McCabe, and the others, committed many crimes!" Trump wrote earlier in the week.
The day before that, he stated, "Unbelievably, James Comey states that Polls, where Crooked Hillary was leading, were a factor in the handling (stupidly) of the Clinton Email probe. In other words, he was making decisions based on the fact that he thought she was going to win, and he wanted a job. Slimeball!"
