Key Net Neutrality Advocate Mignon Clyburn Resigning From FCC Clyburn made the announcement in an FCC meeting on Tuesday. She was an important part of authoring net neutrality regulations put in place in 2015, and was a vocal opponent of its repeal last year. Mignon Clyburn Mignon Clyburn FCC Chairman Ajit Pai sent his congratulations. Clyburn was originally appointed to the commission by former president Barack Obama in 2009, and also served as Acting Chairwoman in 2013.
