The government aims to step up regional cooperation with neighboring countries to reduce air pollution and improve health quality in East Asia.
The science, environment and health ministries held a joint forum on Tuesday under the theme: 'East Asia Air Pollution and Health'.
Local experts along with their counterparts from China, Japan and Mongolia, discussed ways to tackle the fine dust problem and improve health quality in the region.
As fine dust levels are rising every year in East Asia, the four nations agreed to strengthen regional cooperation on related research and to hold regular forums in the future.
