Mecca Masjid case flops; Did netas politicise terror

Something strange has happened today. While we're fighting terror almost daily in Kashmir, we've forgotten the trauma, the shock that all of us have seen in the cities where we live. Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai. A terror attack happened in 2007 outside the crowded Makkah Masjid near Charminar in Hyderabad. It was a pipe bomb, triggered by a cell phone call. About 9 people were killed in the attack. 5 more died in rioting that happened in the immediate aftermath. 50 people were injured. Today we've been told that most of the people suspected 11 years later are acquitted. A political agenda to implicate RSS-friendly organisations deliberately and manipulatively is, we're told, the reason why. They called it Hindu terror, some called it saffron terror. A narrative was wilfully inserted into the psyche of not only India, but pitched to the world community that such a thing existed and in fact was our biggest threat and fear. In the end, nothing. India's been bewildered tonight, like we've been toyed with. Like even truth and justice in a terror attack. Where innocent people are blown up that even the most obvious scourge on modern-day humanity, terrorism .that even in terror cases. It's all open to machinations and manipulations agendas and black hands are at work, twisting, contorting what happened. And the sad thing is, amid it all, we may now never get closure. The terrorists who attacked us, we may never know who they are. Somebody got away with it and we're left with spilt blood on our streets with no justice to offer in return. What happened? How did we get here? Where do we go next? We the people of India have enemies, there are those on the other side of the border that wants us to bleed, be blown up, to suffer. There are perhaps even their agents and infiltrators in our midst who, as we speak may be planning the next atrocity of the soul of a civilisation and country we've so carefully built. We rely on our agencies, our intelligence agents, our police, our army, our Government to behind the scenes protect us. They have to get right one hundred percent. The terrorists just have to get it right just once. How do absorb then today being told this most basic of fights is somehow not what it seems. As a country, amid our establishment, some soul searching is needed. Let us nudge and partake.
