Prime Minister Peter O'Neill and Minister for Higher Education, Research, Science & Technology Pila Niningi were in Ialibu on Sunday to visit the school, and encourage locals to set aside their differences so that school can continue for students of Ialibu Secondary School.
During the visit, parents, teachers and members of the community suggested to the Prime Minister that an interim board chairman be appointed to oversee the running of the school, while the issue of principal is being addressed by the Provincial Education Board.
