A driver lead police on a wild chase through the Twin Cities area in Minnesota before crashing his vehicle on Wednesday, April 11. The chase lasted more than 10 minutes on various highways through Minneapolis-St. Paul before the crash.
Police attempted to stop the driver they believed was involved in an aggravated assault, but he took off, a news report said.
Most of the chase was caught on traffic cameras, including as the car raced off the highway past a school bus and then crashed. The driver exited the vehicle and lead police on a short foot chase before he was apprehended.
The 29-year-old driver was charged with aggravated assault, fleeing police in a motor vehicle, possession of a firearm by an ineligible person, possession of a stolen firearm and possession of a controlled substance. Credit: Minnesota Department of Transportation via Storyful
