Ahead of the Karnataka assembly polls, the battle is heating up. BJP has issued a memorandum to the election commission accusing the Karnataka poll body of misusing electoral laws to disrupt the party's campaign in the state. In its memorandum, the Karnataka BJP requested EC not to remove religious flags on temples in Karnataka. BJP has alleged that EC officials in the state removed flags that had Om symbol tied atop houses of party workers thereby hurting religious sentiments and even directed party workers to erase the BJP symbol on walls of houses. They have demanded action against officials for trespassing their limits.
