Sebastian Vettel won the Bahrain Grand Prix with a stunning drive from start to finish but the result was somewhat tarnished after one of the Ferrari mechanics was rushed off to hospital.Raikkonen was in the fight at the front of the race and on course for a podium finish when he was called in for his second pit-stop.But something seemed wrong as soon as he exited the garage as the Ferrari mechanics waved at him to stop.Raikkonen said after the race that he had been given the green light to leave but his left rear tyre wasn’t put on properly. One of the mechanics was stood in front of the back wheel as Raikkonen raced away and crumbled to the floor in a horrendous collision. The Ferrari team surrounded their stricken colleague and it was revealed he had been rushed to hospital for a suspected broken leg.And Ferrari have now revealed the mechanic, named Francesco, suffered a double fracture.“Apparently a shinbone and fibula fracture,” Ferrari tweeted.“Our thoughts are with Francesco, stay strong.”.Raikkonen could be seen walking away from the incident when he realised his race was over and straight into the garage. But the 38-year-old has sent his well wishes to the Ferrari mechanic. He said: "I don't know what shape he is in.For sure it is not great for him.”My job is to go when the light changes. More than that I don't know.Hopefully he is OK.”.
