With U.S. President Donald Trump set for a summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un in May,... the U.S. leader has decided to invite Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe for talks.
The White House says the summit, the third between the leaders, will take place from April 17th to the 18th at Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida.
The two leaders are expected to discuss issues concerning North Korea amid concerns in Tokyo that Japan is being sidelined in the fast-developing diplomacy with Pyongyang.
The White House added that President Trump and Prime Minister Abe will also discuss the bilateral trade relationship between the two nations.
