TAIPEI — The U.S. and Taiwan have struck a deal worth $130.5 million for an annual shipment of anti-tank missiles, reports the Taipei Times.
The arrangement will see the U.S. supply Taiwan with 460 TOW-2B Aero RF (radio frequency) anti tank missiles, the Taipei Times reports, citing a Taiwan Ministry of National Defence source. This will reportedly see the U.S. supply Taiwan with the missiles on a yearly basis from 2018 until 2024.
The deal is part of a $1.83 billion arms sales package that Taiwan negotiated with the Obama administration in late 2015.
