On Sunday, former secretary of veterans affairs David Shulkin claimed that he did not resign, as the White House has insisted. Prior to his ouster last Wednesday, Shulkin's tenure was rocked by a number of scandals, including an inspector general investigation in February that showed he used $122,000 of taxpayer money to go on a trip to Europe with his wife.
