TMZ reports that Arnold Schwarzenegger’s trip to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for a planned procedure took an unexpected turn on Friday.
70-year-old Schwarzenegger was at the hospital for a catheter valve replacement. due to complications, though, doctors had to perform emergency open-heart surgery.
TMZ says he is stable after an hours-long operation.
Schwarzenegger's spokesman Daniel Ketchell released a statement on Twitter, saying, "@Schwarzenegger is awake and his first words were actually 'I’m back,' so he is in good spirits."
