Police Investigate Anti-Semitic Vandalism at Sorbonne in Paris

A Jewish student union common room at the Sorbonne University in Paris was vandalized in what France’s Union of Jewish Students called an anti-Semitic attack on March 28.

Footage of the destruction posted by the union shows graffiti saying ‘Death to Israel’ and ‘Viva Arafat’.

A march against anti-Semitism took place the same day following the death of Mireille Knoll, an 85-year-old Holocaust survivor fatally stabbed at her home in Paris in what reports said was a religiously motivated attack.

The president of the university, Georges Haddad, condemned the vandalism and pledged to make a complaint.

Anna Berreby of the UEJF told Storyful on March 30 that police were involved but there were no leads on who was behind the incident.
