Good morning. What a day we had yesterday in terms of the weather Most regions saw light to heavy snowfall along with very cold temperatures for the time of year. Those in southern provinces saw snow covered-spring blossoms. A very rare but unique scene.
Any lingering snow should quickly melt away as temperatures will return to seasonal averages this afternoon, while those in Beijing and Tokyo will have much milder daily highs that Seoul.
Morning lows are similar to yesterday, but highs will jump nearly 7 degrees higher, hovering right around the seasonal averages. So let's take a closer look.
Seoul, Daegu, Gwangju and Busan are waking up to a low of 1 degree Celsius while Daejeon starts out at the freezing mark.
Daily highs will rise rapidly and highs in most parts will be in the low teens along with sunnier skies, at 11 degrees in Seoul. Daegu and Gwangju will get up to 12 degrees. But fine dust levels could go up higher in the afternoon.
A warming trend is on the way, we'll see temperatures in the mid to upper teens starting this weekend.
