Good afternoon. Today is Chunbun, the spring equinox. The spring chill is believed to arrive around this time along with strong winds,... and this year's Chunbun came with heavy snow as well. These pictures were taken in Busan and Daejeon this morning.
Most parts of Korea will see snow and wintery temperatures, while Tokyo is also going through some chilly spring weather along with rainfall.
Winter seems to be sticking around in South Korea with a heavy snow advisory being issued for some areas. Most parts will see mix of snow and rain all day while Seoul could also see some in the afternoon.
I hope you are bundled up, Seoul will only get up to 4 degrees Celsius today, while Daegu will top out at 3 this afternoon.
But this spring chill will be really brief, starting this weekend we'll see temperatures in the mid-to-high teens in Seoul.
With that, let's take a look at the international weather for viewers around the world.
While the mid-winter chill is back again in South Korea along with heavy snow, most parts of North Korea will have much milder temperatures under cloudy to partly sunny skies.
As for the rest of Asia, temperatures in Beijing will be bearable, but expect high levels of fine dust.
Sydney and Wellington will both see some wet weather on Wednesday.
Heading to North America, rain in Los Angeles will continue into Thursday so keep an umbrella handy.
As for South America, most parts will have a repeat of Tuesday's weather conditions.
Taking you to Europe,... Tuesday marked the first day of spring in Rome, the weather will be nice but beware of wide gaps between lows and highs.
Lastly to Africa, rain will bring down the temperatures even further in Algiers.
