Cardi B says #MeToo doesn't represent hip hop stars

Many have described the #MeToo movement as a watershed movement - but not all are in agreement. Rapper Cardi B has been the latest voice to question it, suggesting it doesn’t represent female hip hop artists.

She said how many ‘video vixens’ spoke out about sexual misconduct but that nobody cared. If starlets are neglected in the movie industry, Cardi argued, then female rappers had it even worse.

She also called out the male producers and directors supporting the movement saying they aren’t “woke, they’re scared.”

But don’t worry, it’s still business as usual for Cardi who will be dropping a new album in April.
