It's the beginning of a new inspection of the 5th Bomb Wing's ability to handle nuclear weapons properly.
The week-long inspection is actually a re-test for the wing that flies B-52 bombers.
The wing failed an earlier test when training and discipline were found to be lacking.
The inspections began after last August's incident in which six missiles armed with nuclear weapons were mistakenly flown from Minot Air Force Base to Barksdale Air Force Base in Louisiana.
Minot and Barksdale are the only bases in the nation which are home to B-52 bombers.
