Flooding hit the northern Queensland town of Ingham on Friday, March 9, as the nearby Herbert River continued to rise.
The Bureau of Meteorology said rainfall across the last three days had reached 600mm in some places. “A major peak similar to 2009 is expected this afternoon,” the bureau said.
