During the May 24, new high risk outbreak, storm chasers John Esterheld, Nicole and Don Giuliano and Heidi Farrar tracked a tornadic supercell from eastern Caddo County into Canadian county in central Oklahoma. The storm initially produced a destructive tornado near Lookeba, then put down a long-tracked violent wedge that eventually grew to roughly one mile wide before crossing Interstate 40 near Calumet as it continued toward the communities of El Reno, Piedmont and points northeast.
