A viewer points out that these are hornets. If that is so, please confirm the species, so we can make the change here!

An 'animal' attack like no other: Large Himalayan wasps attack, sting and carry away all the bees from a beehive, for storing as winter feed! Filmed and witnessed in Landour, Uttarakhand, between 16th and 21st August 2013. This is a rare example of planned pre-determined predation in the insect world!

CCD (Colony Collapse Disorder) or another kind. The entire beehive colony disappeared within a few short days, as the pair of wasps consistently ran sorties from their nest-hive and collected / sequestered all the bees there, for winter feeding!

Please share with us your own opinion of what you see here, and a better scientific understanding of what we are witnessing here. Maybe we missed something and there are 'wheels within wheels' here...?
