President Trump on Friday lashed out at El Salvador and Mexico over the presence of MS-13 gangs in the US.
President Trump on Friday set his eyes on a new Twitter target over gang-related issues - El Salvador.
"MS-13 gang members are being removed by our Great ICE and Border Patrol Agents by the thousands, but these killers come back in from El Salvador, and through Mexico, like water. El Salvador just takes our money, and Mexico must help MORE with this problem," Trump tweeted. "We need The Wall!"
Trump addressed the MS-13 issue on Thursday as well.
"We're getting them out by the thousands, putting them in jail and we're getting them out by the thousands. And our people from ICE and our Border Patrol people are much tougher than they are. That's the only thing they understand, by the way, is toughness," Trump said during a roundtable with local and state officials on gun violence.
At the meeting, the president also criticized California's handling of illegal immigration and threatened to pull Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents out of the state.
"We get no help from the state of California. They are doing a lousy management job," Trump said. "If I wanted to pull our people from California, you would have a crime mess like you've never seen in California."
