Russian FM says Moscow may support UN-proposed ceasefire in Syria

Russia's Foreign Minister says Moscow will consider supporting a UN Security Council resolution calling for a ceasefire in Syria.
However, Sergey Lavrov said the backing will only come if the resolution does not cover the Islamic State Group and Al-Qaeda-linked terrorists that are targeting civilians Damascus.
His comments came as the UNSC delayed a vote on a draft resolution demanding a 30-day pause in fighting in eastern Ghouta to allow deliveries of humanitarian aid.
Russia, a veto-wielding UNSC member, has presented amendments to the draft resolution made by Sweden and Kuwait.
It added that rebel-held regions should also be condemned for what it called "relentless shelling" of Syria's capital.
