Cyril Ramaphosa was declared president of South Africa on February 15, following the resignation of Jacob Zuma in the face of corruption allegations, which he denies.

Parliament did not have to vote as Ramaphosa was the only candidate nominated.

Ramaphosa said he would work hard to improve the lives of South Africans and not disappoint them.
