Here are the Tata Tigor EV compact sedan's details, expected price & launch date.
The Tigor EV was showcased at the Auto Expo 2018.
The most significant difference between the Tigor EV and a regular Tigor is the powertrain. The Tigor EV draw power from an electric drive system developed and supplied by Electrica EV. The Tata Tigor EV draws power from a three-phase AC induction motor which produces close to 40bhp. However, Tata Motors has not revealed the driving range and the charging time.
The Tigor EV will be manufactured at Tata's Sanand plant. Tata Motors has bagged an order to supply electric vehicles to EESL, and the first set of 350 EVs have been delivered. Tata is expected to launch the Tigor EV later this year and is expected to be priced in the range of Rs 10 lakh and more.
