Good morning, the nation is waking up to a deep freeze yet again... cold wave alerts are in place in many parts so dress warmly on your way out.
Meanwhile, Gwangju and Jeollado regions are seeing a lot of snow. There is a heavy snow advisory in place with Gwangju seeing up to 5 centimeters of snowfall. The rest of us will be dealing with dry weather.
Concern is rising as the Jeollado regions will see more snowfall with up to 7 centimeters expected through early tomorrow morning, Chungcheong-do regions as well as mountainous regions in Jeju will also see snow.
Checking on today's temperatures, Seoul and Daejeon are waking up to a low of minus 9 and minus 8 degrees Celsius, Gwangju and Busan had a low of minus 5 degrees.
Afternoon highs in Seoul will be in the negative territory at minus 2 degrees, Gwangju will see some sunshine in the afternoon before snow falls again tonight.
Readings will bounce back starting tomorrow afternoon but expect to see freezing morning lows for a while.
PyeongChang is under cold and dry weather alerts while winds will pick up in the afternoon.
