Hailstones hit Villa Carlos Paz, west of Cordoba, Argentina, on February 8 with reports some weighed up to 300 grams and were 12 cm in diameter.
Images posted online showed the abnormally large hailstones.
The severe hailstones started on February 8 and reportedly damaged some roofs and killed birds.
The National Meteorological Service forecast stormy conditions would continue on February 9.
