A number of people are having trouble wrapping their heads around a then 72-year-old Jones and 24-year-old Ivanka being a couple. One of the many people who took to Twitter to weigh in on the matter wrote, "Quincy Jones says he dated Ivanka Trump when he was in his mid-70's and she was in her mid-twenties. But as a lady who has had invitations to dinner misread: just because he thought it was a date doesn't mean she did." Others were caught in various stages of bewilderment, making comments including, "I just don't even know where to get started with this," and, "i have some questions…many many questions." Some seemed to be closer to a place of acceptance, like the individual who stated, "That actually makes sense." People magazine says it reached out to Ivanka's people but did not immediately receive a response.
