Add another notch in the belt for Conor McGregor…
Because according to a new study, the MMA star was the most searched athlete on Google in 2017.
And he beat out some pretty stiff competition in the likes of Lebron James, Tom Brady, Steph Curry… and yes, even Floyd Money Mayweather… who came in the 10th spot.
The 29 year old Irishman didn’t even compete in mixed martial arts for the year, but it was obviously his crossover fight with Floyd that help propel him into the number one spot.
The analytics don’t tell how many searches there were for ‘The Notorious’ last year, but considering that he had the second fight in combat sports history - we’re gonna assume it was a staggering figure.
McGregor has not decided if he will ever come back to the octagon, and many suggest that after his huge boxing paycheck will keep him on ice for a while.
Conor is rumored to have made in the ballpark of $100 million in his 10th round TKO loss to Floyd.
