One of the co-leaders of the pro-Kurdish Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) party on October 10th, strongly criticized the response of Turkey’s ruling AKP and in particular Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu to the bombings in Ankara earlier that day that left over 100 people dead and several hundred wounded. Selahattin Demirtas accused Davutoglu of having told lies in his response to the blasts, and laid the blame for the attack at the door of the AKP.
