The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office said one of its deputies pulled a teenage driver from a burning car following an early morning crash on January 28.
The sheriff’s office said the deputy was pursuing the vehicle after he witnesses it being driven at speed, before the driver lost control on a gravel roadway and overturned in a wooded area.
This dramatic footage shows the deputy pulling the driver from the car as it goes up in flames. The sheriff’s statement also said the deputies detected the odor of marijuana and alcohol coming from the 18-year-old driver and the incident remained under investigation. The driver was treated in hospital for a broken femur and lacerations and was released from custody pending further investigation, the statement said.
