A police car was involved in a collision with a Mercedes in central Edinburgh on Sunday evening which left both vehicles severely damaged.
The police Mitsubishi Shogun 4×4 suffered a badly crumpled bonnet while the Mercedes had damage to the boot and the front.
Officers closed a section of London Road while they cleared the wreckage.
No-one was injured in the collision, according to police.
