Olive International School Garden project
OIS HAS BEGUN ITS GREEN JOURNEY
To participate in the Global Green Environment movement, the Olive International School launched a new Eco club ‘Live Green’ with a slogan ‘Nurture Nature for the Future’.
The School principal Mr. Jacob K M inaugurated the Eco club at a special ceremony, held at its Nuaija Campus Assembly hall, with great determination and dedication.
The club has created its own Logo and Slogan, which have been printed on new T-Shirts and Badges specially tailored for this club, which will be worn by the 10 students and 5 teachers who are the members of this club.
Green wall at Olive International School
The ‘Eco School project’ at the Olive International envisages setting up a vertical garden called ‘Green wall,. This will allow greening of society where a conventional garden is restricted due to space constraints. The Green wall greens the environment , helps increase our oxygen supply and generally creates a friendly and happy environment around the school.
The environmental baseline of the school ‘Reduce Reuse Recycle ‘ was applied in this project by collecting 1 liter and 500 ml yogurt containers as pots. Participants in this project painted the reusable containers with different colors. Each student and staff will add their name and date of birth on the pot in a small space provided . Therefore it will have a personal effect and it is going to be everybody’s garden.
As s part of the second phase of this project , OIS Principal Mr.Jacob KM did ‘Planting the sapling
